How is WhatsApp captured?

WhatsApp is captured natively without the need for an additional app. Setup is simple – Employees scan a QR code to link WhatsApp to the ChatGuard platform.

How do you keep our chats and data protected and confidential?

Your data security is our top priority. We host our services with Tier-1 providers that meet the highest global security standards. All chat data is fully encrypted both at rest and in transit, meaning your conversations remain strictly confidential and accessible only to you.

Do you record ‘disappearing messages’ for chats selected for archiving?

Yes. While messages may be set to ‘disappear’ from the live chat interface in WhatsApp for users, ChatGuard ensures that a secure, encrypted record is maintained for compliance and oversight purposes.

What are the different setup options for monitoring?

There are three setups:

Corporate: All chats are automatically monitored/recorded.
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD): All chats are monitored, but users can deselect non-work chats.
Personal: Users select which chats to include in monitoring.

Can I deselect a chat? What happens?

Yes. With the BYOD setup option, users can deselect non-work chats. The chat will be removed from the list of monitored chats

Does the product allow the ability to highlight a specific conversation to be recorded?

Yes.

Do I need to install software to monitor and capture WhatsApp with ChatGuard?

No, nothing needs to be installed. WhatsApp is captured natively without the need for additional software.

Can data be exported from your platform to other systems like Global Relay?

Yes. Many organisations prefer to maintain a single, central repository for all their communication channels. DeepView supports this by allowing ChatGuard data to be pushed directly to third-party systems like Global Relay. For teams requiring custom integrations or internal data management, we also provide a REST API to pull data on demand. This ensures your chat records are always available for interrogation and long-term storage within your existing compliance infrastructure.

Is there a way to search for keywords in chats?

Yes. The platform features an intuitive search tool that allows you to quickly locate messages by keyword. You can also refine your search by date or specific user, making it straightforward to monitor and retrieve the information you need for internal oversight.
